On the way to this engagement session, I got pulled over, for only the second time in my entire life. I had made myself late by making 3 attempts at finding a nice cold Sun Drop (my version of coffee). Desperately in need of caffeine having shot a wedding the day before and it being 7:30 in the morning, I finally settled for a Mountain Dew and headed to our meeting location. Unbeknownst to me, 2 cops were hiding on a side street on a road where I thought the speed limit was 35. Coming down the hill, I was doing 38 in a 30. Which wasn’t that bad so he let me go. But I am not going to lie, this rule follower was literally physically shaking after the encounter, even though he was actually a really nice cop AND he let me go. I was immediately at ease once I met up with these two. They are absolutely adorable, in the non-annoying, super-awesome sense of the word. We had a great time spending the morning exploring the trails of Shelby, and even had a herd of deer run through the swamp behind us. And some East Nastys. 🙂
